Worbla’s ® Pearly Art , another fantastic creative material from Cast4Art , is, like everything in our Worbla’s ® Art series, classified as safe for health and solvent-free in its manufacture and processing.
It is activated as usual with heat, ideally at around 80-90°C, to allow for optimal modeling and shaping, and of course, as often as you like. Likewise, all leftovers can be mixed and reused, meaning no waste is generated.
In addition, WPA has a strong, heat-activated adhesive and can be easily bonded to itself, as well as to other materials, if exposed to sufficient heat.
Worbla's® Pearly Art is particularly well-suited for use with foam boards, whether the finished surface is to be adorned with intricate ornaments or left smooth. Its white color makes it easy to sketch out the later stages of the process. Despite this, it can also be used to freely model fine, almost velvety-smooth objects. Furthermore, the material remains surprisingly flexible even after it has fully hardened.
Free from potentially harmful substances such as solvents
Simple, safe and mess-free handling, even for beginners.
Very fine surface, excellent modeling properties for fine work and a white base color
Can be reactivated as often as desired by heat (ideally at approx. 80-90 °C).
The material is coated with a heat-activated adhesive.
Processing time up to several minutes, depending on the exposure time to the activation heat.
The surface provides a hold for all kinds of paints, varnishes, glues, adhesives, etc.
Excellent repair and bonding options, also with other thermoplastics
No unusable residues and storage is possible for months under normal storage conditions (dry; room temperature).
Worbla’s® Pearly Art can be painted with acrylic paints and various effect spray paints, just like our other products. However, it may be advisable to apply a layer of waterproof glue or primer spray for plastics beforehand, as the surface is already very smooth.
