GRIFFIN ALKYD 37ML VERMILLION

Winsor & Newton Griffin Alkyd Fast Drying Oil Colour is great for oil painters who like to paint at speed. Griffin dries in half the time of a traditional oil colour and this means impasto and glazing techniques can be done in a single session. Griffins are also a bit more fluid in consistency than traditional oils and they dry with a somewhat more reflective surface, too.

Vermilion Hue is an opaque, bright orange red. The genuine pigment was made from toxic mercuric sulphide and was created by the Chinese in the 8th century AD. Prior to this, Vermilion's predecessor Cinnabar was used as early as the 3rd century BC by the ancient Greeks.
