Seal your surfaces and protect your gilding with our Gilding Liquid Base Coat Varnish. This water-based gilding product seals supports including wood, plaster and ceramic. As a varnish it protects your gilding from chemicals and abrasions. Used as an undercoat, this product gives your gilded pieces a more brilliant finish. When used as a varnish, only apply 48 hours after drying.
